Dr. Steffen Ronft is considered as the leading university lecturer in event psychology. He has taken on the role of a pioneer in this interdisciplinary approach through his work as editor of the Standard Handbook of Event Psychology, co-author of The Gabler Business Dictionary, and as a well-known speaker and consultant. As head of Germany's largest dual study program in Exhibition, Congress, and Event Management at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) he is responsible for developing the next generation of event managers.
He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration with focus on trade show, congress and event management, a master's degree in business psychology and conducted doctoral research on the psychological impact of physical and virtual event spaces.
For more than four years, he researched and taught as academic staff and as deputy laboratory manager at the Center for Empirical and Experimental Business Administration (ZEEB) in Mannheim, and he also spent five years at the SRH Mobile University developing distance learning courses for business and events management. Alongside his academic activities, he advises professionals and companies on the psychological optimization of events, trade fair booths and AI/ virtual environments.
