Tahira is a curious event curator, passionate about intentional event design and the integration of technology to enhance the human experience at events. This knowledge is shared in her books and industry contributions, including several sections in the 9^th and upcoming 10th edition of the CIC Manual which provides the framework for the CMP studies and frequent speaker.

Tahira is committed to the industry and has been recognized for a range of contributions, including a Top 20 Trendsetters by MeetingsToday (2018 and 2025!) and honoured as MPI BC Chapter Mentor of the Year. She has also been recognized as a MeetingsNet Changemaker (2016), one of the Top 5 Women in Event Technology (2015) and inducted into the Meetings Canada Hall of Fame in the Big Idea category (2015).

Driven by a fascination with what we are learning about neuroscience and the power of the five senses to enhance memory, knowledge retention and improve connections, she is continually seeking appropriate ways to design the most relevant meeting and event environments. As head of program at IMEX she curates over 100 sessions for each show along with an incredible team. An instructor at BCIT (British Columbia Institute of Technology) she instructs Event Strategy and Design and is a guest professor for the SDSU Masters in Event Management program.

Tahira loves travel, cooking occasionally, time with her family, and anything with bubbles!
