Johanna is a high-energy event manager, association leader, and frugal event design & (mental) wellbeing consultant on a mission to embed wellbeing into every aspect of (event) life - from teams and timelines to venues and the full attendee experience.

She built and now leads the largest team at the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA), overseeing most of the organization’s operations and its flagship conference with over 2,200 participants.

With over 15 years of global event experience across formats and sectors, Johanna brings deep industry insight together with her lifelong passion for wellbeing. A former international school wellbeing representative and long-time yoga and wellness business owner, she is a certified Mental Health First Aider, Instructor, and internationally recognized coach.

She is the creator of the first CPD-certified Mental Wellbeing Certification for Event Professionals - a practical training designed for teams, venues, agencies, and freelancers who want to build healthier, more sustainable ways of working in the fast-paced event world.

Johanna also founded the Event Managers Exchange, a global, sales-free mastermind community for event professionals to connect, share, and grow together.

She is passionate about supporting the next generation of event professionals, lectures on university event management courses, mentors through Elevate and BEFuture, and regularly speaks at industry events including IMEX, PCMA, ICCA, IBTM, and ESAE.
