Seventeen editions of the world’s leading awards for events and experience marketing have taught us one thing: the bar only goes up. Last year, a record 1,405 entries from 58 countries raised it again. This year, we’re answering with our most ambitious Eventex Awards yet.
Here’s what makes this edition one to remember.
Let's start with something worth holding in your hands. The new Eventex trophy is handmade by a local artist, so no two are quite alike.
Its obelisk shape symbolizes ambition and the pursuit of excellence, while a wax seal, traditionally associated with authenticity, adds a distinctive finishing touch. Together, these elements make the trophy a tangible symbol of an exceptional achievement.
The trophy belongs with the honor that sits above all others. This year, it also gets a track of its own.
There's another important change: Grand Prix winners will now be selected exclusively by the Jury Presidents, placing the Awards' highest honor in the hands of some of the industry's most senior voices. That raises the bar for both the work and the judgment behind it.
And for the first time in years, that recognition can come with a moment in the spotlight. Grand Prix winners will have the opportunity to accept their trophies on stage at Excellence Night, held during Eventex Summit 2027.
Which brings us to Vienna. For the first time since 2017, Eventex returns in person. On November 3–4, 2027, the global events and experience marketing community will come together at Austria Center Vienna for Eventex Summit 2027. Two days dedicated to celebrating excellence, connecting industry leaders, and exploring what's next for the industry.
For Eventex Awards winners, the Summit offers more than a celebration. With dedicated recognition programming, winners will have the opportunity to showcase their achievements to an audience of potential clients, partners, and industry leaders.
The new edition also introduces a new way to earn recognition on a regional level.
The new Regional Awards track celebrates excellence across six regions: APAC, Africa, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and North America. With dedicated categories for each region, it allows outstanding work to earn recognition within its own market while competing against the same high standards of excellence that define Eventex Awards.
Regional Awards are part of a broader overhaul of the Eventex Awards category structure, which now features nine tracks and more than 400 categories. Other key changes include:
The value of an Eventex Award extends well beyond the year it's won.
The Eventex Index now includes six rankings: Agencies, Brands, Venues, Cities, Countries, and Events. Designed to recognize sustained excellence, these rankings reflect achievements over time rather than a single successful edition.
Every Eventex award contributes points toward the relevant rankings, giving each win the potential to strengthen your standing in the industry for years to come.
Behind every outstanding event or experience is a story that rarely makes it into the spotlight.
That's where the Eventex Podcast comes in. Events & Experiences. Unfiltered., hosted by Jury President Laura Schwartz, goes beyond the finished product to explore what really happens behind the scenes.
With one guest per episode and no pre-agreed questions, the conversations uncover the challenges, near-misses, difficult decisions, and unexpected moments that shape world-class events and experiences.
A new trophy, new opportunities for recognition, and a long-awaited return to celebrating excellence in person. Eventex Awards 2027 is ready to put the industry's best work in the spotlight.
