Eventex Top 20 Most Awarded Events

The Eventex Top 20 Most Awarded Events 2026 names the year's most decorated events and experiences, drawing on 1,405 entries from 58 countries in Eventex Awards 2026 — the world’s leading events industry awards.

At a glance

For the 2026 edition, 332 events earned points, with the top 18 placements listed below.

This year's story: big ideas, shared stages

  • The biggest ideas take a team.

Several of the year’s most awarded events credit more than one agency. The strongest projects are often shared ones.

  • Culture and place take the lead.

The year’s most awarded event is a museum opening. Two of the other top five events were created for a city tourism board and a forest owners’ association, holding their own against the world’s biggest brands.

  • The best events go where the audience is.

Several of the year’s top events happened far from a traditional venue: on a beach in Rio, on a train across Poland, at a music festival, and at Paris Fashion Week.

How the ranking works

Unlike Eventex's other indexes, this one looks at the 2026 edition alone. Every award a single project won, across every category it entered, adds up in full.
In the case of ties, events with equal points share the same place, with the next placement moving up accordingly. All entries tied for placement are included in the index.

Why a listing matters

A place on the Top 20 Most Awarded Events pays off well beyond the ranking page.
  • A flagship case study.

Company-level indexes prove consistency over years; this one proves a single project can hold up under many different judging lenses within the same edition — a story that sits naturally at the center of a portfolio or pitch deck.

  • A record no single trophy captures.

Winning once is common. Winning repeatedly, across categories, in the same year, is not — and this is the one place that full record gets counted and shown together.

  • Momentum for what comes next.

A project this widely recognized becomes the reference point clients and partners bring up when discussing future work — proof the idea is worth building on, not a one-off.

This is also backed by visibility Eventex puts behind the index directly — coverage across our channels, inclusion in our press outreach, and a lasting, linkable record of the achievement.

FAQ

How is an event credited if multiple agencies worked on it?

Every agency named on the project’s winning entries is credited as an organizer, and the index lists all of them alongside the event.

Why does this index only look at 2026, unlike the others?

Because it measures something different from the rest. The other five indexes track sustained performance across three editions; this one measures how much a single project won within one edition, so it only looks at 2026.

What counts as “an event” for this index?

Winning entries in the Events, Brand Experiences, and Marketing, Communications & Strategy tracks. Entries about a company, venue, technology, team, or individual — covered in the Venues, Event Technology, Agencies & Teams, and Event Production tracks — aren’t counted here; those feed the other indexes instead.

Why are there more than 20 rows in an “Eventex Top 20”?

The same tie logic applies here as elsewhere: events tied on points share a placement, and every event tied for that spot is included, which is why the listed set can run past 20.

Is this the same as winning an Eventex award?

Not quite. Eventex Awards judges each entry individually, within its own category. This index totals every award a single project won, across every category it entered, within one edition.
